building beveled edge box?
I am trying to build a 12 x 12 light box. The edges will be hard wood .My delemia is how do I attache the corners without a box clamp to hold it. I planned on using small brads and Elmer’s Woodworking glue.
Typically the wall of a box would overlap the end of the adjacent wall. Glue would be applied to the end of one wall and the other would be overlapped and nailed to it.
If all of your wood has already been cut to 12 x 12 and beveled, then you may need to use an internal strip of wood (square or triangular) to glue/nail to, or use corner irons or other brackets screwed to the walls on the inside.
